Elderberries have an extremely high concentration of certain flavonoids called anthocyanins which are responsible for the berry’s signature deep purple color. Anthocyanins are powerful antioxidants that work within the immune system to enhance the body’s response and keep it functioning at its best.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture the highest concentration of anthocyanins are found in black elderberries, nearly double the amount found in any other fruit. This gives black elderberries twice the natural antioxidant capacity of blueberries and significantly more than cranberries.   Sambucol's unique manufacturing process harnesses the natural power of these anthocyanins, providing a health supplement suitable for the whole family.

There are many varieties of elderberries grown around the world, including Black, Blue, Red and Ornamental. Similar to wine grapes, the variety in combination with the growing location attributes (such as the soil and elevation) can lead to berries of vastly different color, taste and minerals.

At Sambucol© we choose to use only the premium Haschberg variety of European black elderberries (Sambucus Nigra) to make every Sambucol product. Directions for Use:

Take 2 teaspoons (10ml) daily

For Intensive Use:
Adults and Children over 4 years:
Take 2 teaspoons (10ml) four times daily

If desired, mix syrup in water, fruit juice, smoothies, yogurt or most anything!
